You have waited your whole life to be asked “Will you marry me?” Now it’s your turn to pop the question! “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” gifts are so trendy that they just might be here to stay. Whether you are a traditional bride, looking forward to your bridal shower brunch, or an off-beat bride, counting the days to your wild bachelorette party, the one thing you have to have is your girls by your side! Here are some fun ways to say “Will you be my bridesmaid?”
Even in this digital age, we all still love to get a letter. As long as it’s not a bill or jury duty summons. What better way to surprise your besties with your big news and ask them to join your bride tribe? But what should you say? Here are some ideas:
If you want to add a little something-something to your Bridesmaid Proposal, add a little gift like a few cute scrunchies with a card that says, “Will you help me tie the knot?” and “To have & to hold your hair back.”
What is something that you all love? A movie, a hobby, a good spa day? Incorporate one of these things into your proposal gift for some added flare. You can never go wring with those tiny champagne bottles or smelly-good candles.
Remember, not all your gifts have to be the same. If you are into matchy-matchy, you can personalize your gift by monogramming or adding their name to the item or gift bag. If you want to individualize each gift, do that! For your maid-of-honor, make it a little extra special. For your sister-in-law-to-be, add something to let her know you’re excited to be gaining her as a sister.
Depending on how much time you will get with your bridesmaids before the wedding festivities, think about including some details in your proposal note or package. Are they responsible for getting their own dress or will there be group shopping/fittings? Will you need their help with the planning? Will they be working together to throw your bridal shower? Who is in charge of the bachelorette party?
Obviously, there will be many details of your wedding to work out, but giving the bridesmaids as much information as you can will help them help you!
If all your bridesmaids are friends or family and have known you and each other forever, that’s great! But more than likely you will be mixing family and friends from different areas of your life all together. They all love you, but they need to get to know each other, too. What better way to mix and mingle than a party! (Any excuse to drink champagne and show off your ring is a good one!) Your party can be whatever sounds best to you:
Chances are, your bridesmaids know that you’re going to ask them. But that doesn’t mean you can’t go all out. Like all parts of your wedding, this is supposed to be fun! Don’t stress out. If you’d rather just text them, then do that. You can use all the wedding/bridal/ring/heart emojis that you want!
Oh…and congratulations!
