If you didn’t catch Part 1 where we discussed some tips for pre-planning, be sure to check it out!
Here are some tips for how to plan a virtual bachelorette party that will make the event itself tons of fun and one that all the girls will love!
- Choose (or create!) a signature cocktail
- Play games
- Hire virtual entertainment
- Do a virtual activity together
- Party favors
1. Choose (or create!) a signature cocktail
When you plan a virtual bachelorette party, the key is to find ways of making it feel like everyone is together. One of the best ways to do that is to make sure everyone is drinking the same signature cocktail together in their own homes!
Having a signature cocktail adds an extra festive feel and significance to the event. There are tons of interesting ideas for recipes of signature cocktails out there to choose from, or you could create your own! Creating your own signature cocktail for a virtual bachelorette party can be a lot of fun. Choose ingredients and that reflect the bride-to-be’s personality and taste. and Bbe sure to give it a clever and playful bride-themed name!
You could even take it a step further and schedule a virtual mixology class as part of the event. The more cocktails the better!
Just make sure to have whatever recipe(s) you come up with ready with enough time for everyone to shop for ingredients. Or, better yet, send care packages of the ingredients to those on the guest list (or at least to the bride-to-be), complete with festive cups and straws to drink from!
2. Play games
Nothing livens up a party more than a little friendly competition. So when you plan a virtual bachelorette party, make sure you have a few games that are adaptable to the virtual platform as either part of the main event or sprinkled in here and there to mix things up in a lull. And be sure to make them all wedding-themed!
Bachelorette parties are famed for getting a little risque with the theme, and you can plan for the same kind of fun at a virtual bachelorette party! But if suggestive humor doesn’t reflect the bride’s taste, you can always just keep things classy and romantic and still have a great time!
Some classic virtual-adaptable games that work well however you theme them and are easy to tailor to the bride-to-be could include:
- Trivia revealing how well you know the bride
- Charades
- Truth or dare
- Never have I ever
- Pictionary
- A clever drinking game (of course, highlighting that signature cocktail)
- And more!
There are so many bachelorette party games out there that are tons of fun and provide endless laughs, so be sure to include as many as you have time for!
3. Hire virtual entertainment
It turns out that there might even be some things that are more financially accessible when you plan a virtual bachelorette party. Due to the pandemic, many forms of live entertainment have made themselves virtually available, and usually this is at a much reducedmuch-reduced cost than it would be to hire them in person.
Entertainers such as local bands, artists, comedians, theater troupes, magicians, etc. can be hired to feature at a virtual bachelorette party. And this can be a really nice treat, especially after a year of most live entertainment being canceled. Celebrities are also beginning to offer personalized video messages (for a price, of course) via the Cameo platform. Surprise your bachelorette by having her favorite musician, actor, or online personality send her a shoutout for her big day, or even a little light-hearted roasting if that fits her personality and humor!
Whatever you decide, nothing’s better than getting to sit back in the comfort of your own homes and getting to enjoy some live entertainment “together”. All while sipping on that signature cocktail.
4. Do a virtual activity together
We’ve already mentioned the prospect of taking a virtual mixology class together at the event. But there are other fun ways to plan a virtual bachelorette party centered around doing some kind of activity together. Whether it’s taking a guided virtual class, completing a task or challenge, or simply viewing something together, adding a virtual activity to a virtual bachelorette party is a great way to create some memories. Some activities you might want to consider could include:
- Virtual painting class
- YouTube makeup tutorial
- A group workout or virtual bachelorette 5k (for the more active groups)
- Karaoke
- Wedding-themed crafts
- View a wedding-themed chick-flick together using a group-watch app or extension
- And so many more!
This is also a great opportunity for the bride-to-be to open up all those gifts of lingerie you all sent her as a central theme to the virtual bachelorette party. You can introduce some ways to increase the fun like lingerie bingo. And increase the sentiment with some advice and tips from all the girls. All of which will help increase the bride-to-be’s excitement for her big day.
5. Party favors
Last but not least, no bachelorette party, virtual or otherwise, is complete without a few cute and fun themed party favors for the bachelorette and her guests! When you plan a virtual bachelorette party, simply make sure to take care of this part in advance with a party favor package sent to all the girls to open at the end of the event!
There are tons of bachelorette party-themed gifts out there. Whatever you choose, make it something specific to the bride-to-be and something fun. But most of all, make it something that helps keep the memory of this moment in time you are all celebrating together alive for years to come.
